Olympic Park Stadium
Olympic Park Stadium is part of Melbourne and Olympic Parks, a union of the two precincts which took place in 1995. Originally constructed for the 1956 Olympic Games, Olympic Park Stadium has long been a venue for elite and grass roots sport, and the adjacent Westpac Centre is home of the Victorian Institute of Sport and Collingwood Football Club.
With a capacity of 18,500, Olympic Park Stadium is best known as the scene of the memorable Landy-Clarke incident and general athletics, but was also the first accredited FIFA pitch in Australia, as well as the original home ground for Melbourne Storm and Melbourne Victory
Just a 250m walk to the stadium, Mantra on Jolimont provides the closest and most accessible accommodation to Olympic Park. For your next trip to Melbourne stay with us and you won’t be disappointed. Click here to view our room types.
